John Candy was an excellent actor. He could make you laugh or cry with his facial expressions. He was the "real deal." One of the funniest and most brilliantly skilled comics of our time; great non-verbal expressions, perfect timing, authentic, good natured, kind-hearted and rarely used bad language. When he did use curse words, they were appropriately timed and very funny (I.e. in "Uncle Buck," leans on the overhead kitchen utensil storage rack, and it crashes from ceiling to floor with a huge clatter. Distressed and embarrassed with himself, Uncle Buck, wincing a fretful look into the camera and says one word, "shit!" Priceless! He is one of the "Great ones."

John Candy, a true legend, just watching Home Alone in England, UK & getting into the Christmas spirit. Loved all his films & wish he was still here to make many, many more classics. Sadly missed but always loved ??????

Our Church has a monthly movie night...Trains, Planes & Automobiles was this month's showing! Still sooooo funny after all these years of enjoying it, as with Uncle Buck... the list could go one. Thank you John for filling our hearts with laughter!

Me and my family watch planes n trains our favorite thanksgiving movie ever year on this date today, I laugh just like I did when I first seen it over 20 yrs ago,,people train runs out of stubbbbville,,,t hank you John candy

Probably this year it is 20 years ago that we watched Planes, Trains & Automobiles the 1st time. We do so every year when there is Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S. It's always a nice memory for us because when we visited the Big Apple for the 1st time we arrived there on Thanksgiving. Once again big thanks to John!
