The world needs to redefine what beauty is. John was gorgeous and I live in hope of finding someone as nice as he was, on every level. Watching him on screen restores one's faith in mankind especially if one has recently had to deal with a lesser mortal. |

Loved John, especially on SCTV. He was the best! The only time I cried over a celebrity death is when John died. He brought me many hours of laughter. I miss him. |

His family were lucky to have had him and must feel a tremendous loss, wonderfully talented man and the world is a darker place without mr john candy. Says it all 17 years later that he can still be thought of fondly.god bless and rest easy big guy xxxx |

Just finished watching my annual Thanksgiving viewing of Planes, Trains and Autombiles. Great movie with just the right mix of humour and drama. John Candy at his best. |

Finally got to view Wagons East. Fine movie, very funny, well produced, so many wonderful "inside" references, and John was just excellent. A film that will be fun to see the second and third time. A great legacy for a fine actor/comedian/h uman being. |

I just watched Trains, planes and automobiles. John was one of the best. He didn't need to try to be funny, he just was.
Strange how bad you can miss him. |

I love all John's work and believe he was one of the greatest actors & performers of all time. He could make you sad, happy & hopeful, all in the same scene. Not many of the so called great actors can do that! They all pale in the light that was John. Miss you forever John! |

My boyfriend, and I were watching (Uncle Buck) last night, and both of us noticed most every movie he was in,he was teaching us morals. How we should behave as family,or friends. We miss that in movies nowadays. He taught us so much without even trying. |

Just watched Planes Trains and Automobiles with my family and a friend. Still laughed at it throughout the movie. Nothing funnier than the scene when they get stopped by the police in the burned out car. Classic Candy scene. |
