I am always compared to John Candy, and have been for years now. I act like him, I look very much like him, I weigh close to the same as him, and I have a taste for wonky cars like the one in "Uncle Buck", except mine is a 1978 Dodge Magnum. When I first heard the John Candy comments, I thought people were camouflaging fat jokes with references to Canada's finest comedy actor, but I ended up liking it. I just watched "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" last night with my girlfriend, and she even compared me to the great man after the movie. John, you will be missed. :)

On the Eve of one of the most important and difficult days of my life I watched Uncle Buck, as I have so many times before. Once again John has been there to make me laugh and realize the simplicity of it all. I will never forget his legacy. Thank you!

To this day, I still can't believe he's gone. I'm a large guy, about John's size, so to me he was my idol. I miss him, but I'm so glad I can see him anytime through his films. God bless his wife and children.

John Candy was and still is my most favorite actor. He reminds me of my father. They were both big and jolly. His acting was heart warming. I cried so hard when I found out that he was no longer around. I love you John Candy!!!

In my opinion, John Candy was the best comedic actor of his time. He was not only talented, but a man with a big heart, compassionate, loving and someone that truly cared for others. I have been a fan all my life and each time that I've watch one of his films, I feel sad that he left us so soon. However, at the same time, I'm so glad that he left the legacy that he did which will allow us all to enjoy him forever. Love ya, John!

I love John Candy, and his movies. I grew up watching them all, and couldn't wait to see them all again now that i'm a grown woman. I've been collecting up on his movies as much as i can, and now even my daughter loves them.. i think John could have done so much more better things if he was still with us today.. i love the guy. He's a great actor!I would also like to know about the highway in his name how do i vote? I think their should be a highway named after him in every state. So people can remember him, and watch his movies, and learn something about peace, and love in this world. Which doesn't exist much anymore. We need more like him, and that is a fact...

John Candy is by far one of the best actors of all time. I was born in '85 and to this day, his movies are my favorite. I actualy just got done watching Uncle Buck and decided to google John Candy. So glad I did. I now see that he was such a great man with a heart bigger than him. He fills my life with laughter. I think the sign posted above The Laugh Factory honoring John Candy says it all: Rest in Peace; make God laugh. I wasn't lucky enough to meet him in this lifetime, but I hope to be in the next.
