A huge loss not only for the entertainment world, but a huge loss for Canada. Uncle Buck over and over and over.
Sad to see him wave goodbye on the last scene of Uncle Buck. Maybe that meant something.
My Canadian Hero of Entertainment.

For some reason I was thinking of you today. You had such a presence on stage and in life. I still, at age 43, feel your loss. I miss you. We could sure use you and your sense of humor right now. |

I Love John Candy. So many classics, PTA, Harry Crumb. Cool Runnings, where he shows his versatility. God Bless You John. May you be in Heavenly peace. |

Watching Uncle Buck right now - never get tired of this movie - another favorite is Only the Lonely - Maureen ohara's character reminds me of my own Irish mother. John Candy was a class act and a gifted comedian. |

I grew up in the 70's and 80's. John Candy was THE actor for comedies. So many of his movies are now classics. I can watch them over and over and stil laugh my butt off. He is truely missed. |

John Candy was my hero growing up. Timing, charisma, and just down right hilarious define him. Made me almost pee my pants and then brought me to tears the next. His roles and the man he was have made me a better father. Never met him, but I think the world of him. |

I didn't knew he died, such a bad news to me. He was able to let me feel better, just watching a movie with him was like making my day brighter no matter how bad it was. As someone already stated, it's a big loss. |

I have not seen all his movies, currently watching 'Going Berserk', 1983, with David Steinberg. I LOVE it! Hilarious! John Candy is definitely the Star. |

I loved his work, truly one of the greatest comedians/actors I have ever seen... Currently I am laughing my butt off to planes, trains and automobiles... He was awesome. |

I went to John's high school and he finished high school when I started. I'm a big fan of John Candy and I was fortunate to have been taught by many of the same teachers. One was the king of puns, Mr Brunnock who Jonh loved. He used to say," get away from the window or you'll get a pane"
One of Johns best friends at Neil McNeil HS of visits me at my restaurant in Shelburne. I love when we talk about John, his many achievements, and his love of people and his faith. |

Just watched Uncle Buck for the umpteenth time. Love this movie. Final scene when he waves Goodbye...
Wonder what his career would look like if he was still here. Such a loss. |
