I remember the day the newspaper revealed his death,i was working one sunday morning and I saw the headlines,i couldn't believe what I was reading,no one else in the acting or musical world has/had made me so upset,i watch his films now,but you cannot help being emotional knowing he is no longer around, but his magic still lives on through dvd`s and re/runs.GOD BLESS JOHN CANDY.RIP. |

Since SCTV I have enjoyed John Candy, today as my granddaughter and I watched "Splash" and I heard her laughter at Candy during the racket ball scene. I thought back to the great times when I watched old movies and long gone actors with my grandparents---- -Thanks John |

I loved John Candy's brand of humor, he was an original. I was so sad to hear of his passing. His collaboration with director John Hughes was perfection in such movies as Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Other favorites of mine were Summer Rental, Home Alone, and Uncle Buck. |

Sadly missed, such talent taken way to young. All the films with John acting in them are so funny and he truly makes the films work by just being part of the cast. Good luck to both his children in their future careers. God bless to his wife and the rest of his family. |

I grew up laughing at and admiring John's movies. As an adult I have very severe health issues but I can always count on John's movies to make me feel better even if it's only temporary. I miss him and will always love his talented movies. |

What is there to say that's not been said. Fantastic films and he made even the not so good ones great. Can't believe it's been 21 years since we lost him. Seemed like a really lovely man and a fantastic talent for mixing comedy and pathos in many roles. |
