Watched Uncle Buck, wagons east and planes trains and automobiles with my son over the last week, when he asked if there were any new movies coming out. I told him that he died and my son was so upset. Just as I was when I found out. We miss you John, thanks for all the laughs. |

John made me laugh so many times though in Planes, Trains & Automobiles he made me cry as well. He's one of those rare people I'd love to have met in person. I so glad his memory lives on through his films x |

I love all of John Candy's movies, but my all time favorite has to be "Uncle Buck". So sad that he left us so soon.I miss him tremendously and often think about how great he is and see movies that I think that he could have been in. RIP,John. |

Hi John. I just watched "Summer Rental" again. Out of all your wonderful films, this one in particular brings back fond memories of being a Florida kid in the mid '80's. Here's to you, John. We still miss you. :) |

I never had the pleasure of knowing John Candy, but I think that there was a part of him in every one of his characters. The one character that I think probably would be the most like him in real-life is his character in "Home Alone". I get the impression that John would be the type of person to offer someone a ride to see their kid on Christmas. By all accounts, he was a generous man with a big heart. Ever since he left us in '94, there has been a hole in the heart of movies. But the truth is that John never truly left us. He lives on in our memories, the memories of today's youth just discovering him and the future, unborn children who will laugh, cry and maybe just maybe learn a lesson in the future. God bless John Candy. |
