It's taken a long time to get here, it was like losing a personal friend. We were from the same generation; I thought John Candy was one of the funniest men who ever made me laugh. He also seemed like a lovely human being although I never had the pleasure of knowing him personally. Rest in pece John; maybe we'll meet someday and we can laugh together then

I've loved john candy and his films ever since I was a kid. I was only 8 when he passed on and even at that young age it struck me hard. I still love his films and sctv to this day. Rest in peace john we love you buddy

I miss him so much. I will never get over his loss. He made me laugh so much and broke my heart as Del Griffith. I saw The Great Outdoors again today. Sorry to Dan, but John was the star of the film and just had everything. The telling of the Bald Bear story was great. I miss your father and many many others do to.

John Candy was an original-his kind heart radiated from the screen. Everytime I watched him I would laugh so hard. I watched an Canadian interview,and he stated, "life is too short". He was right. What a beautiful man...

AS a friend of John's, I must say that your site is a real, tasteful tribute to him. He was actually quite a humble man and had difficulty coming to grips with the fact that he was very famous.He may have been embarrassed by all of this attention but I'm sure he would appreciate the sentiments within. As a child of the 90s John Candy has been an inspiration to me. Because of him 4 out of 5 of my musicals have been performed. With his comedy and cheery attitude I was inspired to keep on going. Thank you so much Mr. Candy - Jerome
