He was such a good actor.

I will always remember this gentle giant with much love, and respect for his gentle sense of humour, and kindness shown in all of his acting.

Just saw the Harry Crumb-film again on dutch television. Great sense of humour & what a likeable and sympathetic guy.
A pity he went so early. Hope there's a heaven with him in it when i arrive:)

to john candy and his family, id like to say that i was 8 years old when he passed away and im 23 now, but i look back at everything he has done and he is one of the most brialliant actors ive ever seen and my favorite of all time, we had him for 43 years and i wish it was a alot longer then that... i do not go a day without watching something he has done...i of course never knew him, but would have given up anything to meet him.. he is sadly missed...

I was just thinking about how much I miss no more new films by J.C. and started searching on the web about him. He seemed almost impossible to dislike. There was an underlying warmth to his personality.

Just watching "The Great Outdoors," and thinking of what a wonderful man John Candy will always be. I miss his story telling. Blessings to his family.

One of the finest dramatic actors ever, hands down. He would have proven that again and again if he'd gotten a chance. My favorite image of him is his little wave at the end of Uncle Buck. He would make you laugh and then he'd make you cry. Study his major films and you will notice there is always one very poignant moment. He knew how to play our hearts - brilliantly. He didn't even have to try.

Uncle Buck has to be my fav John Candy film. No matter how many times I watch it, everytime it moves me and can even make me cry. Thank you John for the warmhearted soul that you were.
RIP sir, with love

I finally, finally, finally can say, I watched the biography. I missed the premiere when it did come on December 8th but, I had to put it on my dish dvr yesterday. It was wonderful. This is what they should have given John many years ago instead of that awful E! True Hollywood Story. That was awful! That Biography was very wonderful. I am so happy with it and I cannot stop watching it. They did a great job and that is definitely what John deserved. Such a wonderful man to leave us so soon. He was like a breath of fresh air and I bet he was when he walked into a room. I wish I could have met him. How could you not love him. God Bless you John and your family, friends and fans! We ll still love you very much and you will be in our hearts for the rest of our lives.

I was wondering if there's any way you'd consider making a different kind of forum for John Candy? The layout for the current one just doesn't look right, and I don't mean that as an insult. It's a bit outdated and untraditional to what most forums look like. It also doesn't have too much activity unfortunately.

Couldn't you create a forum, outside of this fansite, and link back to this place? I'm sure it would work great. Freeforums.org has great services for forums without any cost.

There are a lot of fans of John Candy around the world, I think you could make it work as a forum as well if it would look a bit, looks are everything on the internet.

Lo ve the site, BTW!

Best wishes from a Swedish Candy fan
