I've been a john candy fan since I was a kid. My love for his comedy continues today. I am a musician and I've decided to dedicate my albums to johns memory. The name of the album will be bury the hatchet after his performance in "uncle buck". The song titles are also named after his films. Summer rental, delirious and the great outdoors just to name a few. The name of the band is the mercy case. And we are a punk band based out of boston mass. Just saw the Harry Crumb-film again on dutch television. Great sense of humour & what a likeable and sympathetic guy. A pity he went so early. Hope there's a heaven with him in it when i arrive:)

to john candy and his family, id like to say that i was 8 years old when he passed away and im 23 now, but i look back at everything he has done and he is one of the most brialliant actors ive ever seen and my favorite of all time, we had him for 43 years and i wish it was a alot longer then that... i do not go a day without watching something he has done...i of course never knew him, but would have given up anything to meet him.. he is sadly missed...

One of the finest dramatic actors ever, hands down. He would have proven that again and again if he'd gotten a chance. My favorite image of him is his little wave at the end of Uncle Buck. He would make you laugh and then he'd make you cry. Study his major films and you will notice there is always one very poignant moment. He knew how to play our hearts - brilliantly. He didn't even have to try.

I finally, finally, finally can say, I watched the biography. I missed the premiere when it did come on December 8th but, I had to put it on my dish dvr yesterday. It was wonderful. This is what they should have given John many years ago instead of that awful E! True Hollywood Story. That was awful! That Biography was very wonderful. I am so happy with it and I cannot stop watching it. They did a great job and that is definitely what John deserved. Such a wonderful man to leave us so soon. He was like a breath of fresh air and I bet he was when he walked into a room. I wish I could have met him. How could you not love him. God Bless you John and your family, friends and fans! We ll still love you very much and you will be in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
