i agree with ton1981,and i have to say you are absolutley right,about why is john not on the biograpghy channel.This man has entertained us and will continue to bring a smile to our faces.He had done a lot of films before his passing,a few films people probably did no know he did. Come on people,put him on,and let the fans remember this great man where he should be remembered through tv and films,so his co stars can fondly take a walk down memory lane and give the recogntion this man thoroughly deserves. bye john,peace out.

When the news of his passing came to my attention back in 1994, I honestly felt like a friend had passed. I can't watch a movie of his without a feeling of sadness coming over me. I echo the words of "Buck Russell" in his comments. He was and is my favorite actor who still makes me laugh. His movies have become a great tradition in my home. I hope your family's pain has passed.

It is good to find I am not alone in my love and admiration of John Candy's comedic and acting talents. I will always watch his movies one more time. He always cheers me up. I know he must be so proud of his children and their accomplishments. He is missed greatly!

My parents and I just watched The Great Outdoors for the 2nd time in three days - what a hoot! John Candy was one (along with Chris Farley) in a million! You rock John! Say hi to my brothers Doug & Gib and my best friend Marcella while they're enjoying your show in Heaven!

John, you're the best. Nobody can even come close to your talent! Even though I never knew you personally, it feels like I've lost a dear friend. Even today, it makes me sad to think of what could have been if you had lived. Life isn't fair, is it. Rest comfortably John, I know you're making the angels laugh up there! You're not forgotten on Earth, I promise you :)

i have to say every time i visit this great site,it still amazes me the amount of people who pay homage to this great man and his legacy will always live on.I am a grown man of 40 yrs.and i have to admit i still get choked up when i see the ending of uncle buck with the wave,and the end of planes...knowing this great man will never make another film,we can only remember him through the things he made.It`s so nice to see all these people from around the world paying there respects to the late great John Candy. bye John YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

I thought John Candy was a wonderful man he was funny and welcoming, I loved him in cool runnings, home alone, Uncle Buck, and my absolute favourite was Planes Trains and Automobiles. Every time I watched him he always reminded me of christmas,

So why am I here? Because I was lying on my couch this Sunday morning thinking about John Candy. So, I got up and Googled him and wound up here. I knew I couldn't be the only person who recognized his warm comic genius and I'm gratified to find so many other Candyphiles here. I never felt that his work nor his death received the public recognition it deserved but now recognition it deserved but now I find that he has no star on Hollywood Boulevard! Incredible! My grown kids still remember their dad falling off the couch from laughing so hard at Candy in "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles". We owe him better.

Gone but never forgotten,a true friendly giant,a great actor,sadly missed,always makes me smile just thinking of you and love your films,a true legend who should be on the hollywood walk of fame,disgusted you haven`t been honoured,goes to show it isn`t the true people who have the final say,its the bigwigs of the film industry and i think they should be ashamed at the fact there is no memorial laid in honour of such a talented actor.
