John Candy always struck me as not only a talented perforemer, but also as a super decent human being. I met Steve Martin at some book signings, but never brought up John Candy because I think it would have been too painful. I read that he used to help serve food to the homeless at his church-pretty impressive. rest in peace, John Candy!

I miss John Candy so much. My favorite movie will always be planes,trains & automobiles. I look forward to seeing it every holiday. I have gone through all my channels but, I don't see it on before Thanksgiving. If anyone knows when it may be on again could you please let me know. I have just become a fan of John Candy after watching a few of his movies recently. What got me up at 3am this morning? I just had to go on the internet and I discovered he died at the same age as my husband John, 43. John died of a heart attack the same way as this great man with the big heart! Maybe thats the reason I got up and out of bed so early. I needed to know that, but somehow, I already knew..RIP John & John

John Candy was and still is a lovable and talented actor who made us all laugh. To this day people still talk about him. He does deserve at the very least to be the focus on the Biography Channel. I'm surprised to find out just now that he doesn't have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He should!

Thank You Rob. If his native land of Canada can honor him, why can't America? People should donate and give him his star on the hollywood walk of fame like he deserves. The Biography Channel does other individuals except for John. They even do television shows except SCTV. I do not understand it. I go on youtube everyday and check for any new videos anyone has posted. SCTV or anything with John. This man has not gotten the recognition he deserves and it's very sad. Also everyone always notices him for Uncle Buck, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, and The Great Outdoors. What about all the other films he's done. He was so talented and so under rated in alot of ways thanks to critics. They really had it out for him. I hate that. Thank God there are people out there though that still remember John for his great talents and how very sweet and loving individual he was. Some people are very lucky to have met him. Darn you people, I'm jealous. God Bless you John.
