John Candy was the funniest man that ever lived! His movies helped me laugh and get through some very tuff times in the late 80's. I cried like a baby that sad day in March of 94. He is making people laugh in heaven and I will always love him!

John Candy always struck me as not only a talented perforemer, but also as a super decent human being. I met Steve Martin at some book signings, but never brought up John Candy because I think it would have been too painful. I read that he used to help serve food to the homeless at his church-pretty impressive. rest in peace, John Candy!

I miss John Candy so much. My favorite movie will always be planes,trains & automobiles. I look forward to seeing it every holiday. I have gone through all my channels but, I don't see it on before Thanksgiving. If anyone knows when it may be on again could you please let me know. I have just become a fan of John Candy after watching a few of his movies recently. What got me up at 3am this morning? I just had to go on the internet and I discovered he died at the same age as my husband John, 43. John died of a heart attack the same way as this great man with the big heart! Maybe thats the reason I got up and out of bed so early. I needed to know that, but somehow, I already knew..RIP John & John
