| John Candy had provided a large amount of voice work into a character named "Redfeather", a turkey, and Pocahontas's sidekick. However after John Candy's death in 1994, the concept was unfortunately scrapped. The film was released in 1995. |

| This is the pencil test for a turkey character named "Red Feather". As you can see the turkey has many of John Candy's characteristics, his laugh and also Red Feather says lines similar to those used by John Candy's character Del Griffith in Planes, Trains and Automobiles. |
