Watching Splash with my 8 yr old son. I was 8 when it came out. I remember going to the mall with my mom after seeing it at the theatre. I got in trouble while in the make up/ perfume department in Rich's. I was dropping change on the floor and picking it up to get a look under women's dresses. Thanks for the memories Mr. Candy. I bet you were a lot of fun to hang out with. |

I love John Candy. He is still my all time favorite comedic actor. All of his movies were funny and touching in some way. My all time favorite movie is Uncle Buck. I was 14 when he passed and still to this day when I see one of his movies, I get chocked up. He is deeply deeply missed. |

John Candy was a jolly rotund man that I used to laugh at when I was a child, I was 5 when he died and I was sad. I'm 24 now and I am still sad, but he is still a jolly rotund man in his films that will be here forever. |

Perhaps the least appreciated actor and comedian ever. Miss the movies John was never able to make. Watching old movies of his are filled with belly laughs aplenty. |

Miss him. Funny man and so lovely. Was very sad when he died. I had just watched phildelphia with Tom Hanks and it came on radio, will never forget that night. I named my son Sidney James but didn't realise that was his dads name. |
