Just watched Uncle Buck again for the umpteenth time & felt sad that John isn't with us anymore. A really talented actor who was taken from us far too early. RIP xxx |

However many times I watch your movies, they always transport me back to a warm safe time when life was good and simple little things were enough to bring a smile to a face. Your charm and wit still bring tears and laughter, but always that sadness too of a great person gone too soon. Thanks for the memories. |

John, even after years have past, you are still sorely missed. You always had a way to make me laugh. You were a very sweet man, and I never miss a chance to watch a movie you made. Your characters in most of your movies could have been a guy we see everyday in real life, you just made what we would find annoying in real life so funny in you own great way. I pray when I am called home, I will meet you in heaven and you will spend eternity making me and everyone else in heaven laugh and have a great time. I just watched the Movie Great Outdoors, you were the man John, a very sweet, normal man who was one of the greatest talents of all time, and I thank God that I was around to see you make the funniest movies of all time. I never met you, but I deeply miss you John,
Rest In Peace and Thank You for all the joy you brought to us; We all will love and miss you forever. |

Unbelievably, it's been almost 20 years since he died.
But he's still out there somewhere... |

Although it has been many years since we lost John Candy, I still hold him dear in my heart.
His was a talent and spirit that I think is far too often lacking in the world these days.
I did not have the privelege of ever meeting him in person, but I am thankful that we all have so many fine examples of his talent to reflect back on.
He was someone that I think managed to convey much of his inner spirit/soul through the often impersonal medium of celluloid. He left viewers with a feeling of warmth and good will despite not having had the honor of meeting him in person.
As we welcome in 2013, I find it hard to believe that it has been almost 20 years since we lost this incredible man.
It is my genuine wish that we, his fans can keep his memory alive long into the future.
My thanks to John's family and friends for allowing him to share himself with the rest of us and to have enriched all of our lives as he most certainly did.
He'll always be someone that I keep dear |

John candy was a super awesome role model for me with his amazing acting skills and phenominal records of the many movies that he performed in, whenever I see a movie with his name on the cover I have to get it because I know it will be epically amazing! |

I watched John's movie about 15 years ago, when I was still a kid. He was really funny and impressed me. I wanted to see the movie again these years, however, I didn't know who the actor is and even what name of the movie is. Finally, the technology make me be able to search it by my incomplete information. The image in my memory remained vivid and I at last know the one who lived in my memory for a long time, his name is John Candy. Sadly, when I tried to find some films that he may act in recently empty-years with ages of 60... I got empty. So John had left us for 18 years. Even earlier than the time when I knew him. How sad it is. What a shame it is... May you rest in peace John. May you bring laughs in the Heaven, just like which you bring us. I missed you in the past years... and I'll miss you in the future... |

My late parents, a Presbyterian minister and his wife, loved John Candy's movies. The last movie that my mother saw of Mr. Candy's was "The Great Outdoors". She loved it! She died 4 days later. I still am saddened when I think of John's death. He was a world treasure and a kind man. |

One of my all time favorite actors! I really liked everything John Candy did. Planes Trains and Automobiles will be an all time classic and it is the ONLY movie where I like Steve Martin, John Candy is the reason why. |
