John Candy, or "Mr.Great Personality" was a kind and inspirational person. He knew how to be funny and from this his performance really shined. I think that his passion was acting in comedy's that made us laugh. He definitely is missed, and his life in the movies will always live on. (including the movies still on VHS) |

Nice work with the way this website is! I'm so glad John had 2 kids...together with the SCTV reruns, all the movies, etc through which he still lives and makes people laugh. I love thinking of him and Steve Martin motoring on their way in that burned out K-car. |

Just watched Uncle Buck again for the umpteenth dozen time (off work sick today), and once again cried at the end with the final snapshot of John waving goodbye.... It is as I will always remember him, knowing he is gone forever. Our family will always love and miss him. RIP Johnno xxoo |

John Candy was such a talented, charming, funny, sweet actor who lit up the screen and brought so much pleasure to so many people. I was so upset when he died. His death was a huge loss, not only to the movie world but to the world in general. The world needs more wonderful people like John. |

It may sound odd, but when John passed I felt as if I had lost a family member. It was a terrible shock and I can only imagine how difficult it must be for his wife and kids. But, I know they honor him throughout their lives and maybe, someday, there will be a little John Candy II to make a new generation role with laughter and choke back tears. God bless you Mr. Candy. Save that smile in heaven for all of us. |

John was a great comedian. He was very well known even here in Germany. I remember watching his funny movies with friends when I was a kid. This type of great comedy is gone today. Kind regards to all of his fans |

John was a big part of my high school years. During my junior and senior years in high school, I remember watching SCTV every Friday night with my friends and just cracking up all through the show. When I recall that period of my life, one of the memories I keep remembering were all the many characters John used to play on that show. I was very sorry to hear about his death at such a young age. Even though I never knew him personally, it felt as though I had lost a friend. Memory eternal John. And thanks for all the funny memories. |
