John was one of the greatest artists. He was a man with an open heart and sincere soul. He was honest and kind, his films give the joy of life. Thanks for all. |

I turned on my tv and there was John Candy in Planes, Trains and Automobiles. The first thing that came to my mind is how funmy he was, I just loved him. The Great Outdoors is my favorite. I It is sad that he is gone. But he is not forgotten! |

My uncle in Canada was a police detective and John would go to the station to get his licenses and permits, etc. My uncle said John was a super nice guy, very genuine. It was so nice to hear there are some actors out there that are real, cool, down to earth people !! I LOVE John, and we lost a great guy. He will ALWAYS be GREATLY MISSED !!!!! Wherever he is, he is cracking everybody up, that's for sure !! |

John made me laugh as a kid from watching his movies. He lived a 5 minute drive away from me near Toronto. People used to say they would see him driving around. What a shame he died. |

I loved most everything that John performed on Screen, it is very sad that he was taken so early in life, he was a delight to watch on screen and I would have loved to have seen more from him, sadly it wasn't to be, he is missed. |
