I've always enjoyed Mr.Candy's films and his characters on"SCTV Comedy Network"..he is one of the few true clowns..who can make you laugh and cry. Hence,he could perform in drama and comedy. When he died in 1994(Crying) I felt a real sense of loss. Thanks for creating this site to honor his work. |

John Candy was such a special man. I loved all his movies. He was sooo talented and he really knew how to make me laugh. I sure miss seeing him in the movies these days. No one has yet measured up to John's talent and no one will. He was in a category of his own. Right on John!!!

Grew up on Woodville (in Toronto)across the street from the Candy/Aker family. Great memories of John & Jim. As a boy, I used to go to the grocery store for John's "Granny Aker". John was a great guy & is truly missed. Wishing the best from the Neale family to Rosemary, Jennifer & Christopher - John's light will shine eternally. |
