John was a one in a million person. I was deeply upset to hear of his death. I love watching him in any of his movies. My favourite of course is "Uncle Buck". No wait, "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" .. No wait "Spaceballs". What a problem, I can't pick just one. He is sadly missed.

I adored John. My superhero gimmick is inspired by him. I even dressed as him on halloween. I was truly inspired by him. I feature him as a character in my numerous stories.

Hi - short and sweet - I'm 62 year old dave litten - all my nephews and nieces started calling me Uncle Buck. So I watched the movie - Dang! Candy IS me.....I love him.... He was younger when he passed away - and dark haired too! Uncle Buck is me in many ways...maybe only the awkward ones! God Bless Him anyway...he bought pleasure to millions....what better epitaph.... I'm Nathan Forester but my nickname is Dr Music. Me and my older bro have been Jc fans for like a real long time and the whole family in fact likes him as well.I watch his movies with my mom and she adores them. I own most of them. Me and my bro met him during the 80's. I happen to be a werejohncandy. And as such I can totally relate to him. R.I.P John, you were my hero.

Just saw Planes, Trains ans automobiles again. I think it's top acting and one of my all time favorite very funny and moving movies. Thank you for all your beautiful movies end shows and i/we miss you!!

Loved watching you on SCTV your sketches were hilarious. Wish you were still around to keep us laughing in these difficult times. The fine actor that you were is so evident in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. I love watching it every year around Thanksgiving. It always tugs at my heart strings with your portrayal of Del Griffith. You will always live in our hearts

Lucky enough to go to his birth place...beautifu l...but very sad to think he had to leave this earth so soon..But I'm sure he is charming the angels with his smile and wit..great guy..wish I had an Uncle Buck like him.... Love and light John xxxx
