There we're a few projects in the works that we'll never get to see with John Candy. I wish he was still with us as he was one of the greats in many ways.

I used to work with John at Steinberg's in Thorncliffe Park when we were 16. He was always a fun guy.

You are a great person. I do not get tired of enjoying your creativity. Now I am the same age as you. In half a year I will become older than you, but you will still remain for me a big and adult merry fellow from my childhood. Thank you for being. From Russia with love.

While I was in college it was a ritual to watch SCTV at night and we laughed our buttocks off. Good thing Sears sold replacement sets for a reasonable price. The Fishing Musician was my favorite but Mayor Tommy Shanks was right up there and who could forget the 3-D antics of Dr. Tongue. I was delighted when almost 40 years later I was at a Dollar General Store and found 4 boxed sets of SCTV episode which I continue to enjoy today. GOD took John too early but we are blessed to have had his body of work for hime to live on in.

I grew up in the 80s in Canada and grew up watching John Candy movies with my parents. Such talent. My favorite movie is Uncle Buck but to be honest, I love every movie John was a part of. I wish I could have met him just to chat and laugh. Its weird that you can have so much love and respect for someone that you have never really met. But after doing research and finding out how wonderful John really was, it wasn't hard at all to love, miss and shed some tears for this wonderful person. Rest in peace John Candy. Much love from an appreciative forever fan.
